This is for same day emergent during regular business hours.
We cannot always accommodate requests for emergency surgery after hours. If we can provide these services we must have a large charge to cover costs of orchestrating this. Despite this emergency fee, our costs are typically significantly below for profit clinics. If the pet is not already spayed/neutered this will be performed at the owners expense. If surgery is determined not appropriate the client is still responsible for the emergency fee.
Required in Maryland for all Dogs, Cats and Ferrets (pet must be 12 weeks of age or older to receive this vaccination). H.E.A.R.T., Inc. will not provide services for your pet if s/he is rabies eligible and unvaccinated or if the administration of rabies vaccination is declined.

Topical flea/tick will be applied automatically for any pet with fleas and the owner will be charged for the preventative
This is the cost of the exam however other potential costs for diagnostics and/or medications may apply depending on the animals previous veterinary care. Other common diagnostics, Heartworm test confirmation and microfilaria, young wellness or senior wellness dependent upon age of pet, 30 days of Doxycycline, 6 months of heartworm prevention and x-rays (optional) with 3 views of the chest as recommended by the American Heartworm Society.

Please note if H.E.A.R.T., Inc. is performing an anesthetic procedure (such as a surgery) on your pet, and your pet is not spayed/neutered, you will be required to have the pet spayed/neutered (if s/he is deemed healthy enough, old enough) for the procedure at your cost.

Typically cytology of any removed mass is recommended. The cost of the cytology may vary, please request information on the specific test recommended.
The degree of wound repair cannot be determined until we see the pet. If anesthesia is needed a separate anesthesia charge may be added.
